BIAFRA ALERT!!! OHANAEZE’S OWERRI FORUM – SEE WHAT IPOB SAID TO EKWUEME, NWABUEZE, OTHERS
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has com¬mended some prominent Igbo leaders for deliberately staying away from the Ohanaeze Ndigbo unity rally held recently in Owerri, Imo State which it dis¬missed as “a jamboree”.
IPOB in a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Officer, Emma Powerful, alleged that the rally was sponsored by “Abuja” to woo Ndigbo who are already dis¬enchanted by the President Mu¬hammadu Buhari’s style of gov¬ernance.
The pro-Biafra group said that that the absence of some eminent Igbo personalities from the Ow¬erri event depicted wisdom on their part as those who turned up at the rally were only politi¬cal hirings.
“We hereby commend Dr. Alex Ekwueme, Dr. Arthur Nwankwo, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu and Co who du¬tifully stayed away from the Ow¬erri Jamboree in spite of bait and pleading by Ohaneze Ndigbo to honour them on that day.
“As Ohanaeze shamefully packed home the rejected plaques of award, these great Igbo men turned down by their deliberate absence at the Owerri circus.
“The quislings who allowed the clown of Owerri to use them to pursue Aso Rock Agenda have only succeeded in destroying themselves.
“Apart from Dr. George Obio¬zor who spoke well about the un¬workable structure of this hostile prison called Nigeria, others were dancing around the issue, too afraid to speak the truth.”
IPOB further described those at the event as “ shameless pseu¬do leaders, clouds without water, and leaders without followers”.
IPOB also frowned at the posi¬tion of the participants at the fo¬rum that “ Biafrans are not unit¬ed”, insisting that “ the whole world knows that Biafrans are united in their quest for freedom from slavery and oppression.”
“Owerri jamboree says Ndig¬bo are not united, that they have come to unite Ndigbo for one Ni¬geria.
“They avoided the biggest is¬sue: the oppressive structure of Nigeria. They avoided mention¬ing the Nkpor massacre of May 30th 2016. They find it difficult to agree on an acceptable com¬muniqué that will not offend Aso Rock, the sponsor of the jambo¬ree.
“They unsuccessfully fail to hide the fact that they were hired to distract Ndigbo from the quest for freedom. They only reduced themselves by making themselves available to be used by Aso Rock to attempt to deceive Ndigbo and Biafrans.”
IPOB also warned Ohanaeze Youth Council against joining is¬sues with the pro- Biafra move¬ment, saying it will no longer tol¬erate such insults.
“ We warn the so -called Oha¬naeze Youth, not to dare join is¬sues with IPOB, ever again”, the statement said.
“The anger in our hearts and souls over the serial treachery of certain pseudo leaders, the sense¬less Nkpor massacre of May 30th 2016 and the continuous betray¬al of our people by few shameless quislings, will be vented on any shameless character, who allows himself to be hired by the enemy to subvert the truth.”
