Ina Medina born on September 27, 1933 in Ticrapo, Peru was a normal kid until one day everything changed. When she was only 5 years, her parents noticed that her stomach increased abruptly in size and that Lina became mature enough. There was no other explanation so her parents thought that it is a tumor and they took Lina to a doctor. But Lina did not have a tumor, she was 7 month pregnant! That is what shocked even the doctors because that is not a condition you see on a little girl every day.
The doctors immediately took x rays of her uterus to confirm it and studied her hormones. Even more shocking is that the girl had regular period which suddenly stopped! Right after these discoveries, the little girl was transferred into a hospital in Lima, Peru.
On May 14, 1939 she gave birth to a baby boy and because her pelvis did not have enough space to deliver the baby the doctors had to do it through C section. The baby was 6 pounds which is normal and this made Lina to be the world’s youngest mother. She named her son Gerardo, after the doctor.
What was else noticed by the doctors during the surgery is that this young girl actually had developed mammary glands and sexual organs and that condition is called precocious puberty’.Now you are asking yourself who was the father? Well that was never found out but Lina’s father was arrested for suspected rape and abuse over his daughter but because there were no evidences he was released.
Lina got her first period at the age of only 8 months and at the age of 4 she had a prominent breast development. Her figure displayed pelvic widening and advance bone maturation at the age of 5.
This family lived a normal life although Gerardo did not know that Lina is his mother (he thought that she is his older sister) until he was 10 years old. Lina was provided with education and she received help for her son’s education as well. She worked as a secretary and she married Raul Jurado and she gave birth to another baby boy in 1972.
Gerardo died at the age of 40 of bone marrow disease.
The x rays and medical papers are evidence that this story is a true story!
